But first things first... nope, my name is not Birdie. I'm Katharine. But you may be wondering, why the name By Birdies?
Birdies is a little nod to my middle name and a quiet tribute to my grandmother. And if you really know me, you know I pick at my food like a bird. You’ll never find a clean plate in front of me.
It’s a little sentimental, a little personal, and it just fits.
The eyes, heart, and camera behind By Birdies. I work full-time in photography and spend the rest of my days helping a few local spots with social media and marketing. Whether it’s photos or content, I’m all about the in-betweens, the moments that actually feel like something.
Birdies is more than a name. It’s a quiet nod to my middle name, Alberta, a tribute to my grandmother. It’s also because I pick at my meals like a bird (no plate has ever been finished in front of me). But mostly, it comes from the phrase: “a little birdie told me.”
